Compare the approved controls before choosing an order
Digital or manual describes a control direction, not a complete air fryer specification. Compare the current panel, operating instructions and sample against the tasks your buying team needs to demonstrate. Then compare quotations on the same product, electrical, accessory and packing basis. Neither interface establishes cooking results, reliability, demand or margin by itself.
Start with what the catalog actually identifies
Two Yaoyuan records illustrate why even a manual shortlist needs exact identities. These are published catalog descriptions, not results of a usability or performance test:
- SC-800, catalog P16: named Single-Knob Air Fryer, with published capacity 8L.
- SC-808, catalog P15: named Dual-Knob Air Fryer, with published capacity 8L.
The names identify a difference in the stated knob count. They do not identify each knob's function, adjustment range, timer behavior or the steps needed to stop operation. Obtain a current panel photograph, supplier-approved manual and sample reference before writing the operating comparison. The manual air fryer matrix keeps these records and the separate 10L configuration distinct.
Apply the same discipline to an electronic-control shortlist. A catalog title containing “Smart” does not establish touch operation, preset count, connectivity or any specific display function. Use the digital air fryer buying matrix to identify candidates, then confirm the actual interface. Record the model and catalog ID together where source names are reused.
Compare the same operating tasks
Ask the supplier to demonstrate each task using the selected model's instructions. For a knob-based interface, record what each knob controls, its markings and the approved sequence. For an electronic interface, record each button or touch area, displayed units, menu behavior and any confirmation step. Leave features absent from the evidence unconfirmed.
- Select a setting and identify the feedback showing that it was accepted.
- Start, adjust and stop operation as described in the approved manual.
- Record the instructions for normal completion and any documented interruption.
- Check whether the panel, translated manual and demonstration describe the same sequence.
Keep the demonstrator's observations separate from acceptance criteria. If a task is unclear, identify the missing instruction or panel detail before approval. Do not improvise a reset, interruption or safety test from a generic air fryer description.
Keep presets separate from cooking evidence
A menu icon or named preset is a control instruction. It does not establish that a particular food quantity will reach the buyer's required result. Request the model's approved menu sheet and record which settings can be changed. Retain the food, load, starting condition, accessory setup and result with any agreed sample trial. The presets and recipe claims guide explains the evidence needed before reusing a recipe card or retail cooking claim.
Use buyer observations to assess explanation and support
Simple controls may reduce demonstration and training burden, but they do not prove faster sales. Treat the potential training benefit as a hypothesis. Ask the intended demonstration staff to follow the approved instructions and record the questions they actually encounter. Compare equivalent tasks and language versions, rather than assuming that a knob is easier or a display is more understandable.
For after-sales planning, identify the exact panel, knob or other service part with the supplier. Retain the model, revision and fault evidence required for a support request. Control style alone provides no failure-rate evidence, and matching capacity does not establish interchangeable parts. Use the after-sales and spare-parts guide to define the information needed for the selected configuration.
Approve the panel and OEM information together
Match the physical sample to the panel photograph, manual, box artwork and product listing. Review control labels, icons, units, language and any feature statement against the same version. Do not show a touch panel, menu or accessory in artwork when it is absent from the quoted configuration. Record who approved each file and which sample it describes.
If the control panel or operating sequence changes, review the affected instructions and demonstration again. The sample approval guide connects this interface review to the wider product and pre-production decision.
Compare cost and commercial fit from complete evidence
Obtain private quotations for the exact candidates with the same quantity, destination, plug, voltage, packing, OEM scope and trade term. Include confirmed freight, destination charges and buyer-owned support assumptions in the comparison. A control label cannot establish which quotation has the lower total cost.
The buyer assesses channel requirements, planned selling price, existing support records and dated model-level sales evidence. Use that information to assign an initial role and review conditions to each shortlisted SKU. A country name or store format does not demonstrate demand for either interface, and a mixed order remains subject to model quantities and packing approval.
Buyer questions
Does a smart air fryer title confirm a touch screen?
No. Confirm the current panel, input method and documented functions for the exact model. Do not translate a catalog name into an unsupported feature claim.
Can two 8L knob models share one manual?
Only after the supplier and buyer confirm that the instructions accurately cover both approved versions. Equal capacity does not establish equal controls or operating steps.
Send a comparison brief with the missing evidence identified
Name the candidate models, control tasks and panel or manual details still needed. For private quotation, provide quantity, country, plug type, voltage, packing request, OEM request and destination port. Keep unconfirmed fields open until the selected version is reviewed.
Yaoyuan Electric offers factory direct supply for wholesale buyers. MOQ starts from 1000 PCS. Retail and one-piece orders are not accepted. Certification documents depend on the exact model and target market; control style does not establish certification or shipment readiness.
